Data Device Corporation, September 28th, Bohemia, NY

A Dress Down Day was held at Data Device Corporation (DDC) in Bohemia, NY. Those of you familiar with Joanna’s story know how much she loved New York, so the fact that a New York-based company would sponsor this event was so very special to us.  All total, $1600 was raised during the event organized by Jane Velis. Thanks to the many, many employees at DDC who participated and contributed to our foundation.

The participation at DDC was phenomenal considering we nor Joanna ever met any of the employees face-to-face - they are just caring people who were touched by Joanna’s Story and have been praying for our family for a long time.  They felt compelled help so they did! It is a real testament to how our sweet angel Joanna touched so many people - all over the world - and her impact on others will live forever.

Here are a couple of quotes from the employees at DDC:

DDC is a great company to work for, full of caring, compassionate people. Their kindness and generosity was expressed in their participation and contributions to this dress down day. I am proud to work with such a great group. I was thrilled that DDC hosted this event in honor of Joanna's memory and in support of her foundation and her family. Misty, Jeff and Paul are in our thoughts and prayers. Your northern friends here at DDC were honored to be able to help in a small way - Jane

Wow!!!! What a story - brought tears to my eyes. Reading Joanna's story really makes you stop/think and count your blessings. Thanks for letting us know about Joanna - Pat
