Thanks to the Marion County High FBLA club, $829 was raised for the Joanna McAfee Childhood Cancer Foundation at a Spaghetti dinner held December 5th, 2006 in Buena Vista, GA.
FBLA sponsor Mrs. Sherry McAllister believes her kids should be introduced tocommunity service projects that they can relate to. Mrs. McAllister wants her kids to realize that their family may need help one day, and that they need to gain an appreciation during their teenage years of helping others. Mrs. McAllister believes in our foundation and it seemed perfect like a perfect fit for her kids. Jo Anne Rogers (Joanna’s “Gam”) taught at the school for many years so the students were introduced to Joanna’s story three years ago. They prayed for Joanna as she fought her battle with cancer and now they’re fighting to help other families cancer kids.
