The Joanna McAfee Childhood Cancer Foundation received a check from the Flint Energies Foundation, Inc. for $5000. Since 2001 over $570,000 has been granted to local charities as part a program called operation roundup. Flint Energies is an electric membership corporation and each member’s monthly electric bill is “rounded up” to the nearest dollar and the odd change is used to provide grants to the local area served by Flint Energies.
